      1. How many different types of economic activities are there? What are they?

      Ans.
           Economic activities are mostly divided into three major types
           Primary, Secondary and Service sectors.
           To understand the behavior of the  different economic
          activities, and how they impact and in turn are impacted by
          the  total economy, it is useful to quality them in larger group
         of economic activities. On such a way of  grouping economic
         activities is to classify then in to primary, secondary and
          territory activities. 

       2. What is underemployment or disguised employment?
        Ans:  Unemployment which exists when marginal physical
          productivity of labor is zero or sometimes it  disguised
          unemployment

           3. What are four principles of UNO ?
          Ans: 1. preserve World peace
                       2. Uphold human rights
                       3. Respect international rights
                       4. promote social progress.

      4. Write two slogans on preventing global warming.
            Ans:
             1. Don't be fool make earth cool 
             2. Global warming is Very alarmin
             3. Trees can beat the raising heat

        5. What is meant by “October heat”?
          Ans: The weather pertaining to the Indian subcontinent in the month of 
               October is known as  October Heat

      6. What are the western disturbances?
        Ans: an extra tropical storm originating in the Mediterranean region that 
         brings sudden winter rain to the northern parts of the Indian subcontinent 
         which extends as east as up to northern parts of Bangladesh and South 
         eastern Nepal the moisture laden cyclone originating over Mediterranean sea.

        Ans: the great depression was the worst economic downturn in the history of 
             the industrialized  word lasting from 1929 to 1939 it began after the stock 
            marked cash of October 1929 which sent wall street into a panic and wiped 
            out million of investors l unemployment rose to 25% and home less ness increased

         8. What was the immediate provocation for the World War-I?
             Ans : the immediate provocation for world war-l was the murder on 28th century 
            June 1914 of archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by Serbian fanatic Austria declared 
           war on Serbia. As Serbia was with allied powers the Austria attack on it led these
            powers to come to Serbian fanatic then the central power allied to Austria ,also joined 
           the war and this marked the beginning of world war-l 

         9. Mention the events that justify calling the 20th century “The Age of Extremes
             Ans
                   1. The two World Wars occurred in this age.
                   2. The World saw the great Depression in the same period.
                   3. Scientific knowledge rose of two new heights.
                   4. Women got right to vote firstly during this period.

         10. What were the criticisms raised against communist system aimed at establishing
                  a socialist  USSR?
                   Ans:
                      Many others were horrified by the violent elimination of opposition and 
                 denial of multiparty democracy and freedom in the USSR. So the criticisms 
                  were raised against communist system.
    
           IV. Answer the following question in three or four sentences.

             1. What are the differences between the workers working in organized sector and 
                 unorganized sector?
                 Ans:  The organized sector is the enterprises or places of work where the terms 
               of employment are regular and therefore, people have assured work and job security.
                     The unorganized sector is characterized by small and scattered units which have 
                remained largely outside the control of the Government.

             2. What are disagreements between ”developed‟ and “developing‟ countries about AGW?
                 Ans. 
                 The disagreements between developed and developing countries about 'AGW' are... 

           DEVELOPED COUNTRIES:
            This countries want developing countries to cut down on burning coal and other 
            activities which cause AGW. 

             DEVELOPING COUNTRIES :
            1.This countries argue that the developed by burning fossil fuels. 
            2.They also argue that they cannot develop without burning fossil fuels. 
            3.They also want developed countries to show alternative sources for their development.

         3. What are the causes that lead to two world wars?
             Ans : The main causes of two world wars 
                    1. Aggressive Nationalism leads to formation of power blocks
                    2. Differences among the imperial countries lead to world war
                    3. The Secret Alliances also played vital role in the two world wars
                    4. The Military expenditure of the six big powers increased by over 300 percent
         4. Russian revolution brought in many changes in their society. What were they?
              and what challenges did they face? 
             Ans: 
             1. The immediate change was the elimination of the democratic provisional 
                 councils called Soviets in various layer cities
             2. Under Bolshevik rule Russian got out of world war- ll 
             3. The socialist system was imposed on the country which all about the smallest 
                   business were taken over by the government
             4. Land was redistributed to peasant farmers and food distribution was temporarily
                 improved
             5. Soon though many people become disenchanted with the Bolshevik and the Russian
                 civil war broke out in 1918 and lasted until in 1920 challenges they faced
